History & General Info | Creative Problem Solving Institute (CPSI) 2010

History & General Info

For more than 50 years, the Creative Education Foundation (CEF) and CPSI® have been helping people throughout the world understand and unleash their creative potential.

Our Mission

CEF is the Centre for Applied Imagination - helping individuals, organizations and communities transform themselves as they confront real-world challenges. Every day principles taught by CEF are helping someone, somewhere in the world develop new products, advance business operations and profitability, reinvigorate economies, improve our schools, revitalize communities, and replace ineffective methods and systems with new, more sustainable ones.

The Creative Education Foundation is a non-profit membership organization of leaders in the field of creativity theory and practice. At the core of CEF’s mission is the desire to promote realistic, practical and creative means for making the world a better place. These practices find their way into our society through the growth of CPSI.

CPSI is the oldest and longest running conference dedicated to the teaching and practice of creative skills. CPSI was the brain child of Alex Osborn, the inventor of brainstorming and Creative Problem Solving, the founder of Creative Education Foundation, and more commonly known as the cofounder of advertising firm BBDO.

CPSI is where you learn the skills that you and your organization need to stay competitive in today's rapidly changing marketplace.
